Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near,” Paul is encouraging believers to take hold of a posture of peaceful trust, not only in how we treat others but also in how we respond to life.
This also includes:
💖Not fighting over things that don’t have eternal significance
💖Releasing the need to be right or in control
💖Choosing calm over chaos
💖Trusting that since “the Lord is near,” we don’t have to grip everything tightly

Trying to control everything is often rooted in fear, anxiety, or the belief that outcomes depend solely on us. But gentleness reflects a surrendered heart one that trusts God’s nearness and sovereignty enough to release the reins.

This case with Diddy is a lot to take in. The posts circulating about Cassie’s testimony are not only unfair to her, but to every survivor of sexual assault.

Just because money is involved doesn’t mean she wanted what happened.
This is where control comes in did she really have a choice? Survivors are often ripped apart and scrutinized at every turn. Let’s not forget: she is the victim.

As a survivor myself, I want to gently encourage other survivors to take care of yourselves in whatever ways you can.

You may feel off, unsettled, or triggered even if you can’t name exactly why. That’s valid.

Here are a few things that might help:
• Take a break from social media.
• Go for a walk.
• Pay attention to how you feel, even if the feelings don’t make sense yet.
• Journal.
• Cry.
• Meditate.
• Pray.
• Make an appointment with your therapist, if you have one.

And remember: It’s not happening to you right now, even if it has happened to you before.

Stay grounded. Stay present.

I don’t have to strive for God’s grace and mercy they are freely given, not because of what I’ve done, but because of who He is. In Him, I am awakened to my worth, my purpose, and my power. His love is my foundation, and His grace is my freedom.

I don’t have to be good enough in order to receive God’s grace because it��’s not about me but God. I pray that you are able to receive that today. His grace and mercy isn’t about you being good it’s about God being God. We just receive and thank God for it.

Let me remind you of something you might have forgotten:
• You are not defined by how much you do; you are worthy of rest and care.
• It’s okay to put yourself first, your well-being matters.
• You are strong enough to set boundaries that protect your peace.
• Your worth is not tied to how productive you are; you are valuable just as you are.

Remember taking care of yourself is not selfish it’s essential.

At our latest Women’s Breakfast, the theme was “The Time Is Now!” We discussed how to fulfill our purpose and give birth to the dreams and visions God has placed in our hearts.

The conversation delved into the things that often hinder us from completing our assignments. We talked about how the enemy can use people in our lives to try and kill our dreams. Fear, procrastination, and distractions were all on the table.

The key question we explored was: What’s really hindering you? Is it just surface-level distractions, or is there something deeper at play - like a lack of confidence, feelings of unworthiness, or deep-rooted fears?

The women shared openly and honestly, recognizing that to truly move forward, we need to identify and address the root causes, not just the symptoms. It’s up to each of us to do the inner work necessary to kill those roots and get the job done.

The energy in the room uplifting as we encouraged one another on this journey. These Women’s Breakfasts continue to be such a valuable time of connection, reflection, and empowerment.

Selfless vs Self Sacrificing

🦋It’s important that we understand the difference between being selfless and this idea of being self-sacrificing. One is healthy one and the other is unhealthy way.

📌When we are selfless we are putting the needs of others before your own in a balanced and sustainable way.
- A selfless person acts out of genuine care, concern, and a desire to help others, without expecting anything in return.
- Selflessness involves a healthy awareness of one’s own needs and boundaries, and finding ways to support others without completely neglecting oneself.
- Selfless acts are often done joyfully and willingly, without a sense of burden or resentment.

📌Self-Sacrifice involves an extreme, unhealthy level of putting others’ needs before one’s own.
- A self-sacrificing person may completely neglect or suppress their own needs, desires, and boundaries in order to serve others.
- Self-sacrifice can stem from a sense of obligation, guilt, or a belief that one must always put others first, even at the expense of one’s own well-being.
- Self-sacrifice can lead to burnout, resentment, and a loss of one’s own identity and sense of self.

You can be selfless without losing you.

Ever had one of those days? A day where emotions just hit you out of nowhere—feeling sad, flustered, not your best, and you can’t even pinpoint why?

I know that feeling. It’s overwhelming, leaving you wondering, “Where is this all coming from?”

So I do what I know brings clarity. I pause, I pray, and I write. Not in a diary-like way, but in a way that helps me understand the layers of what’s really going on. I let the pen guide me, each word helping me unpack those feelings. And as they fill the page, I start to feel lighter. The emotions are no longer bottled up; they’re released onto the paper, left there.

Journaling is a way to get it out and leave it there. 🖊️

To any woman feeling this way today—you’re not alone. Try to pause, reflect, and let it all out on the page. You’ll be amazed at the relief that comes from simply letting it flow. You don’t have to carry it all.

🌺Dear Women Of Purpose 🌺

As we journey through life, it’s essential to recognize when God is calling us into a new season. Yet, it’s all too easy to carry the weight of the past—old hurts, bitterness, and familiar patterns—into the new places He has prepared for us.

But let me remind you of this truth: God has something beautiful and fresh waiting for you. He is inviting you to step into His promises fully, without the baggage that holds you back. 🌺

Imagine a garden. For new flowers to bloom, the old, wilted ones must be pruned away. Similarly, for you to truly embrace the new season, you must release what no longer serves you. This might mean letting go of certain relationships, mindsets, or emotions that hinder your growth.

Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” God is at work, dear sister. He is crafting a new chapter for you, one filled with hope, peace, and joy.

So, today, I encourage you to take a moment in prayer. Ask God to reveal what you need to release and seek His strength to do so. Let Him guide you into the freedom that comes from trusting Him completely.

Embrace the new with an open heart. Trust in His plan, and watch how He transforms your life in ways beyond your imagination. 🌟

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we’re no longer that person. The thing about the new person is you no longer desire to be that old person. If any man/woman be in Christ, he/she is a new creation. #shesawakened to the new

What are you doing about the pain?

Yes, you are clear about what happened. You are clear about how it happened. You are clear about who did it. But you’re still not healed 🫂.

So, I will ask you again, what are you doing about the pain? 💕

I was clear on all the things I mentioned above but was missing something. The thing I was missing drove me in circles.

It drove me into unhealthy relationships, unhealthy spending habits, unhealthy eating habits, unhealthy parenting.

I was driving 🚗 🚘 🚙 around in circles ⭕️ ⭕️ ⭕️ because of the unhealthy decisions I was making. The decisions were made from the place of unprocessed pain I was carrying; I hadn’t connected the dots.

Although the clues were all around me, I couldn’t see it. Just because you had the conversation about the pain doesn’t mean you’re healed.

We must go deeper.

We often hold trauma and stress in our bodies. One common response is to hold tension, this includes holding our breath. When we are in a constant state of stress, we may not even realize that we are tensing up, holding our breath, as it becomes a regular response to higher stress levels. This can make the physical and mental effects of stress even worse on our bodies.
